Chasah trust
5 January 2024|Papa God & Denae RothIt's a new year! "The old has gone the new has come." Resolutions, dreams, thoughts, and plans lay before us like empty white pages of a book. Yet in all our planning, preparing, and organizing we are not the author; He is. Elohim, Emmanuel, Yahweh, Jehova Jirah, the author and perfector of our faith. I found myself in a battle of trust today. Wrestling for control and wisdom, wrestling with the question, do I truly trust? Not as a sentence full of three words, I trust you, but as a commitment and a command to my mind, spirit, and soul? Chasah- to lean on someone, betach-to cling, yachal-to know and aman-to firmly stand. These are all Hebrew meanings of trust. Chasah stuck out to me, leaning on someone. Trust is not trying to be something, not trying so hard to not miss His plans, not being so caught up in how we are honoring Him, but letting go. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and LEAN NOT on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6. It all seemed to fall into place, the waves suddenly stopped roaring, the shame of dis-trust fading. As long as we are remaining and leaning He will make our paths straight. Trust is committing to His ways above my dreams, obeying when I do not understand but most of all remaining and abiding in his supernatural love. So as a new year unfolds my prayer is that I would not lean on my own understanding, not lean on what I can do but submit to my Mighty God. He is worthy of our trust. So with the peace of knowing He is in control, that He is the good and faithful author I can confidently say I am so excited about what God is going to do in 2024! Happy, happy NEW year!!!
